Book Worm

Before her nap today Stella decided she wanted to take the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie to bed with her. Stella loves this book and likes to read it before bedtime and pretend to eat the cookie. I peaked in on her and she was tightly hugging the book. I hope this means she'll grow up to be a book worm and that it doesn't mean that she was so hungry that she thought the pretend cookie would fill her up.

Higher Learning, Higher Earning

Thanks to my college degree, which included a class in stagecraft, I am very capable of putting together Ikea furniture. However, I long for the day my college degree affords me furniture I don't have to put together myself.

Thar She Blows

A man at Trader Joe's said, "Wow, you're really pregnant. You must be due in two months." I politely said, "No. More like 5 months." To which he said, "Wow you are BIG. Must be twins." I really wanted to say, "You want to meet my twins?" and then take both my fists and punch him in the balls. For someone who seemed to be the authority on a woman's body I'm pretty sure he hasn't seen a vagina in about 25 years.

Stella is a Beiliber

Stella went shopping for her new spring wardrobe today at H&M and heard a very popular song. She couldn't stop singing and dancing to it...until the rapping started.

Our Future

I got an email from my husband labeled "Our Future" with a link to the following video.



He really gets it and I love him for it!

Heat Wave

I caught Stella trying to keep cool in the 85 degree weather. I just hope I don't catch her trying to drink the Absolut vodka she's sitting next to during the next heat wave.

Walk Like the Animals?

Yesterday at the zoo Stella saw a giraffe poop on the ground. Last night after her bath Stella put on her hooded giraffe towel and pooped on the ground. I think she learned a lot yesterday.
