Stella is a cheeseburger in paradise at daddy's work doing some trick or treating!

Stella likes her cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and lollipops!

Fan Mail?

Stella is getting mail. How is that possible? She's 14 months old. Maybe The Counter found out she was going to be a cheeseburger for Halloween.

Stella Takes a Holiday

Stella has two ear infections. She will be back full of vim and vigor and two new teeth in 3-10 days.

Mom is severely sleep deprived. She will be back full of caffeine and more posts in a 1-2 days...when she wakes up from a very long nap.

Like Mother, Not Like Daughter

Sometimes I think Stella can't be my daughter. Proof: She doesn't like Menchie's frozen yogurt. Instead she opts for the stale goldfish that has been riding shotgun in her stroller for a week. I fear for her palate.

Miss Representation

Everyone should watch the documentary Miss Representation. If we all watched it and took the messages from it to heart it would make this world a better place for our daughters. Spread the word and take the pledge.

Today's Blog Brought to You by the Letter W

Tonight during Stella's bath I was pouring water out of a cup and Aaron said to her, "Do you see the water?" and without missing a beat Stella turned and pointed to the faucet and said "Wa-ter." I was like, "Did she just say water?" Aaron confirmed that my future Mensa member did indeed say water. Stella's never said water before and she said it perfectly. Maybe she'll be the official announcer for Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Then during book time she looked at a worm in the book and said "Worm." Again I was like, "Did she just say worm?" Aaron must think I'm going deaf. Of course my future little helminthologist said worm...because she's a Wunderkind!

Stella's First Concert?

Today we were watching the morning news and there was a commercial for the live Yo Gabba Gabba show. Stella was banging her drumstick on the kitchen floor and heard the music from the commercial. She stopped what she was doing, whipped her head around and dropped the drumstick on the floor (it had the same comedic effect as a record scratch). I think she's still too young to go, but she doesn't. If she learns how to hack into my computer (which she has done before) I wouldn't put it past her to go online and buy tickets to the show.

Baby Jokes

Have you heard the one about the...

Stella (pointing to a picture in her book): Hmmmph? (translation: What's this?)
Mom: Highchair.

Stella starts out with her fake Pee Wee Herman laugh then it escalates into full on crazy belly laughs!

Stella points to the highchair. I say highchair. Stella laughs.
Stella points to the spoon. I say spoon. Stella points to the fork. I say fork. Stella points to the highchair. I say highchair. Stella laughs. After about the 497th time I still didn't get the baby joke, but Stella thought it was hilarious.

You Spin Me Right Round, Baby

Someone learned a new trick today...

Get Into The Grove

Yesterday Stella was introduced to Madonna and she created some sweet new moves. Her dance is 1/2 Flashdance, 1/4 Magician's Ta-Da, and 1/4 Wipeout.

These Eyes Don't Have It

I think I need glasses. It's getting difficult to read things. Maybe that's the excuse I'll use for not reading a book in over two years. I'm too young to be getting old, right?

The Flying Squirrel Cat

Over the past year Stella has accumulated a lot of nicknames:

Capuchin (Stella looked like a capuchin monkey when she was born)
Puchin (Shortened version of capuchin)
Squirrel (It rhymes with girl)
Squirrel Cat (When the Squirrel cried she sounded like a cat)
Squirrel Hawk (When she got really upset she screeched like a hawk)

And this week I give you The Flying Squirrel Cat. (the photo below says it all)

Five Reasons I Think Stella is Hiding E.T. in Our House

1. Instead of Reese's Pieces, there is a constant trail of goldfish in my
house

2. I have more stuffed animals around than normal
3. Stella keeps trying to call someone on my iPhone
4. The dead tomato plant on the porch is showing signs of life
5. Stella's bike was not in front of our house this morning

All I want for Christmas...

is for all of Stella's teeth to come in so I can get a full night of sleep. I'd really appreciate it if Santa and The Tooth Fairy could put aside their differences to make this happen for me. If you two are reading I will pay you in cookies, milk and five dollar bills.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Stella Ray

Today we took a trip to Underwood Farms in Moorpark for their Fall Harvest Festival with Grammy and Papa. Stella was very lucky because Papa won her a pumpkin at the pumpkin toss.

Stella is very proud of her pumpkin. (NOTE: Stella is not trying to do her best Robert Pattinson impression with the white vampire makeup, it's sunscreen)

Then Stella got to pet some goats with Grammy. The wardrobe change was necessary because it was about 91 degrees out. (NOTE: Here she is trying to do her best Twilight impression by showing her fangs to the goat.)

Stella also got to drive a tractor. She totally felt like Kevin Bacon in Footloose. Sorry, Robert Pattinson.

Then Stella finished off the long day like everyone does...in the fridge.
